The Coat

It was time to move once again. Slowly but surely I was packing the things I would take with me and throwing away the things I wouldn't. Than, I got to my dress coat. It was very nice, very expensive and very...big. I had lost 80 pounds, since I purchased it and now looked ridiculous, swimming inthis huge coat. I had only worn it a handful of times so I decided to bring it towork for a Christian girl I worked with who didn't have a lot of money.
It was the dead of winter and frigid and snowy out. I asked her if she would like to have my coat, and when I asked her, her eyes grew 5 times bigger and her mouth fell open! It's practicaklly brand new I tried to tell her and she stopped me. She told me she accidently left her coat in church that weekend and was justr praying that morning for a new coat! Listen for God and He will use you for His glory!!!!

That's My Make-Up!

One day, I was watching a make-over show on TV. The looked very similar to myself, same hair color, eye color skin shade face shape. I had been wearing the same style make-up since high schooland my 10 year reunion had just passed. I had a job interview coming up and I wanted a more professional appearance.
So, as they explained to the woman on TV what she should be wearing, I took mental notes. Golden eyeshadow-I wear browns, wine colored lipstick-I wear chapstick, and blush-well, blush makes me break out.
I badly wanted to run out and buy myself this make up but money was tight and I felt it was irresponsible. So I prayed "Lord, if it's your will for me to get this make up, than send it my way, Thank you Jesus Amen"
A few hours later I stopped by my sister's house to say hello. She was in the bathroom so I sat at the table to wiat for her. Sitting on the table was a plastic bag filled with golden eye shadow, wine colored lipstick and bronzer (which doesn't make me break out) I stared at the bag amazed and confused. Lord, Why does my sister have my make-up? I know thats my makeup. When my sister came into the kitchen she said "Hey, mom gave me that make upbut its too dark for me, do you want it?" OH LORD!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

Shampoo & Bodywash please! By Allison

Nothing is too big OR too small to pray about. I was on an exceptionally tight budgetthat left me with no money after rent was paid. I was in the shower squeezing the last drop of my shampoo out of a hotel trial size bottle and watering down the bodywash bottle to get the last bit stuck to the sides out, when I prayed a very quick, very precise prayer "Lord, please may I have shampoo and bodywash thank you Jesus Amen." I forgot about the prayer during the course of my day because I was going to cousins graduation. We all went back to my Aunt's house. My family was unaware of my financial hardships, so it was truely amazing when my Aunt came up to me during the party and said "The other day, I had all these coupons and I went a little crazy on the shampoo and body wash. Do you want any?" "Yes, Please!" was my response! Not even SIX hours after I prayed that prayer, God blessed me with 2 bottles of shampoo and a gigantic bottle of badywash! Matthew 6:25-27 " Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is life not more important than food and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air. They do nto sow or reep or store away in barns, yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they are? who of you by worryign can add a single hour to his life?"

The Car By Allison

June 8, 2007..."God I give it to you, Lord. It was the statement I made after months of car shopping. I had $2000 to spend on a used vehicle and no experience buying a car whatsoever. I had heard many horror stories about used cars and I couldn't afford a lemon. Lord, please lead mne to a car that will be reliable. I will trust you, God, because you know cars and I dont"

So the journey began, I felt God tug on me to go into one of the many car ltos in Springfield, Missouri. OK, God, which car? Tug, Tug. He called my attention to a very cute Mitsubishi, Mirage. Lord, that looks like a very nice car, but how will I afford it. I walked up to the price tag and it read $2500. And there was a Jesus fish on the back of the car.
" God, is this a sign, this Jesus fish?" I wasn't convinced because I was in the Bible Belt of America and most cars had Jesus fish. I decided to take it for a test drive. I pulled into the closest apt complex parking lot to do the only thing I know how to do on a car, check the oil, oh yeah and make sure there was actually an engine. So I lifted the hoodm checked the oil, and then started..."Hmmmm. Yup it's a car with oil. Now what" So I prayed, " Lord, I dont know if this is a good car. Could you please send someone here to tell me whether or not I should buy this car, because I don't know." Not a minute after I prayed a man with a watering canrounded the corner. Walked right up to the car. I was staring at the engine when he said, "Thinking about buying this car?"
"Yup, but I don't know," I replied. He put down his watering can and checked the fluids, hoses and tired before stating " You should buy this car, but talk them down a few hundred dollars." WOW, thanks God that was quick.
I went back to the dealer and offered the m$1900, he said make it $200 and it's yours. I got the car for $500 cheaper, the exact amount that I could afford. The story doesnt end there
When I drove the car home, it started making a noise. "Oh no, Lord I know you got me this car, how could there be something wrong with it?" but God works in miraculous ways. When I drove that car to work, my co-worker, a part time mechanic heard the noise and told me to pop the hood. Hidden deep down soemthing was unplugged and 1-2-3 good as new. He said the previous owner probably sold the car when they couldn't find the cause of the noise and I now jhave a car that was worth $4000 more than what I paid for. God is awesome!
